Wat Arun

Wat Arun Ratchawararam Bangkok, Wat Arun, or the “Temple of Dawn”, is one of the most instantly recognizable landmarks of the capital, its towering edifices being known the world over as an enduring and intoxicating image of the City of Angels. Despite being named after the Indian God of Dawn Aruna, Wat Arun is a simply mesmerizing sight at dusk when viewed from the opposite bank of the Chao Phraya River when the temple’s glittering spires stand majestically against the skyline, welcoming the coming night.
