Yaowarat Road

There’s no better way to experience Bangkok’s Chinatown than by simply getting lost. The three roads you need to know are Song Wat, Soi Wanit 1/Sampeng Lane and Yaowarat. Between these three parallel roads are networks of small streets bustling with markets, food stalls and local businesses operating from traditional shophouses that will take an entire of afternoon to explore.

If you time things right and you end up on Yaowarat in the early evening, get ready to join the locals for some of the tastiest street fare in town. Fresh seafood, noodles, fruit juices and desserts – you name it and they sell it so just tuck into whatever catches your eye and keep on moving.
